Perfume Sign Global Deal With Universal

It was revealed recently that Perfume, the greatest J-pop sensation, has signed a global deal with Universal Music Group. It comes as a relief that Universal doesn't plan on watering down Perfume's music or lyrics for Western music fan consumption and wants to market them to the dance club community as they are.

Here is the link to the whole story:

I have been a Perfume fan for a couple of years after stumbling onto their videos on youtube and always thought their high energy music blew away most of the so-called pop dance artists in the US and UK coming out this past decade.

Here are some of my favorite videos of Perfume to check out to prepare yourself for the J-Pop invasion set to happen in 2012 and beyond:

Perfume - "One Room Disco"

Perfume - "Chocolate Disco"

Perfume - "Twinkle Snow Powdery Snow"

Perfume - "Love The World"

I can't wait until Perfume's music will be available domestically. Hopefully, more American and UK electronic/dance artists take notes and draw some influence from these gals.
