THE SMITHS DEFEAT UB40!

The Smiths slaughter UB40 in a 19 - 6 vote in this week's Temporary Rough Venom Battle of the Classic Bands Tournament. The reggae cover band seemed to have gained votes from the anti-Morrissey music fans than actual followers. In the end, The Smiths nonchalantly advance through to the next round against whoever wins next week between Queen and The Misfits.

THE RAMONES DEFEAT THE CLASH!

The Ramones defeat The Clash with an 11-9 vote count after two days of unsuccessful voting ties in this week's Temporary Rough Venom Battle of the Classic Bands Tournament. It was the competition's first tie that saw music fans split down the middle in who they thought should have advanced. In the end, shouts of "GABBA GABBA HEY" echo through the tubes of the internet as the Ramones march forward and leave the Clash bored of the USA and this tournament.

It was no shocker to see The Beatles get 17 votes to The Kinks with 9 votes in the Temporary Rough Venom Battle of the Classic Bands Tournament. It's really going to be tough to knock the Beatles from their rightful throne of winning the entire tournament, but anything can happen.
